Getting things done

Getting a lot done today. Passport photos, license and registration. All done. Got rid of our crappy cable company MediaCom in favor of DirecTV. I hope that its worth it.

At least I don't have to see the regular comercials and then right in the middle of a program like Mythbusters, I see some low budget insurance commercial taped in the 90's. I mean right in the middle of a program. Not when the commercials are supposed to air, so you end up missing the good parts of your shows. Yes, that kinda bothers me if you couldn't tell :) OK end of rant.

I'm really enjoying the nice weather. To bad I have to go back to work next Monday.

Finally home

Have not blogged anything in a while. Oops. Hope to fix that.

Finally home from being overseas. Its nice to take a shower in my own CLEAN shower again where you don't have to throw away anything you accidentally drop or shower with shoes on.

Its nice to have REAL pizza too. Pizza hut Pepperoni Lovers stuffed crust pizza is awesome.

It also great seeing Wendy again. I missed her so much. Talking to her over a phone line that is full of static, beeps and frequent disconnects gets old really quick. The boys have grown so much. Jojo is showing his own personality now. Michael is getting so big. He is so talkative for a little baby. Just bla bla bla all the time with an occasional "da-da" in between. That's awesome. I love being married and having a family. Wendy is the perfect mom. I hope I am a great dad.

Headed to Pensacola in the morning out on the new beach road running from Navarre Beach to Pensacola. It recently opened.

Nice dinner

Had a nice dinner tonight brought to us from Judy Rice, our pastor's wife, this evening. Great food. Had a nice visit with Judy.

Up late watching TV

Well I'm up late watching TV again. I am hooked on Hero's & Journey Man. I sure wish Wendy could stay up long enough to enjoy them as well.

Journey Man has a pretty cool plot line so far. Have you ever wished you could control time ? What would you do if you could go back and forth in time ?

It would be cool to help myself on a few tests or jot those lotto numbers down. I promise I would just pay off the bills and give the rest away.

Works been busy recently. Lots of cases. So many things to fix. So little time to fix em in.

Gabriel stood up on his own for a while tonight. He is growing up so quick. Too quick it feels sometimes. Yet I can't wait to be throwing a baseball to him. I hope he does better in sports than I did. Wendy also felt his first tooth coming in from the bottom.

She is such a good mother and wife. She spends all day either looking after Gabriel or me. She doesn't get much for herself. I really should get her a day at the spa. I love them both so much. Things change so quick. I'm a husband and a dad. I wouldn't miss this for anything.

It's nice getting to sit down and relax a while quietly. I think we make our life to busy sometimes. Society makes us run everywhere and multi task. Humans aren't made to be so busy. Hah. Maybe I'm just lazy. I wish I could spend more time at home. I worry that I won't spend enough time with Wendy and Gabriel. I don't ever want them to think work is more important than them.

I hope to goto the range some time soon. I've been itching to put some more rounds through my carry gun and get comfortable with it. I worry that if I ever have to use it, that I might not be comfortable enough or fast enough to save my life or my families. It seems like people do such bad things to others. Innocent people. I think there is nothing worse than someone taking advantage of someone else. Stealing, shooting, raping.... What possesses these freaks to do this crap ? Why does everyone think the world owes them something.

Well the news is coming on. May as well watch a little and head to bed.

Now this is cool.

MySQL Proxy can drastically change how you interact with your databases. I can't wait to try this out at work and really find out what it can do.
